The UIC Library now subscribes to the Optical Society of America?s Digital Archive (OSA?s Digital Archive).? The Archive provides access to the largest collection of peer-reviewed optics and photonics content via OSA?s repository, Optics InfoBase. The content includes articles and conference proceedings from the OSA publications:? Applied Optics, 1962-2005; Journal of the Optical Society of America,1917-1983; Journal of the Optical Society of America A, 1984-2005; Journal of the Optical Society of America B, 1984-2005; Optics & Photonics News, 1990-2005; Optics Express, 1997-2005; Optics Letters, 1977-2005; Optics News, 1975-1989; OSA Conference Proceedings, 1979-2005.
The Optics InfoBase offers several search options such as basic search or journal search, article search, and advanced search. Click on the ?Journal search? tab to search by title, abstract, or author and select search either in InfoBase or in Google Scholar. To search conference papers, click on ?Advanced Search? and select an acronym for the conference from the ?Conferences list.? Use ?My InfoBase? tab on the upper right hand corner to customize and save your searches, or receive email alerts about new issues and table of contents. Select search citations and export them into Bib Tex, EndNote, rich text, HTML, or plain text formats. Also browse the Optics ImageBank and search across more than 200,000 images from OSA?s core journals hosted on Optics InfoBase.
