Fawn Cloverhill in shape for the Julian Snaith Stakes Julian Snaith
The two-year-old, Fawn Cloverhill, failed in the attempt to post the sixth straight success in a row and today is taking his chances in the Grade A1 Julian Snaith Stakes Julian Snaith. The race will be hosted by Wimbledon over 480 metres flat on Saturday, 11th August. Competing for the ?104 prize money are Dooley Gate, Suirview Ranger, Southwest Sunset, Legends Light and Power Shared.
Hondo Black?s son was not as successful in the initial half as he has been recently. He struck a hat-trick by claiming one race in the previous season and then striking two races right after entering the new season.
Three lined up second positions followed another hat-trick.
The final leg of the threesome was in the Grade A3 Team/Business Challenge Final on 9th June, 2012 at Harlow over 415 metres. The two-year-old led from the second spot and clocked the track distance in 26.11 seconds racing from the middle. He won by the margin of four lengths and set Emporio Beauty as the runner-up.
The fawn son out of, Rosies Mate, then had the performance graph going down as he ended fourth and then second in the next two races that followed.
He won at Wimbledon on 27th June, 2012 over 480 metres. Taking the middle and then leading for the rest of the way had the quickest time of 28.97 seconds for the winner who led by 2 ? lengths. Following right in the tracks of the winner was, Avalon Icon.
The third hat-trick of the career was in the Wimbledon 480 Standard on 21st July, 2012 over 480 metres. He reached the other end of the wire in 28.79 seconds and won by the margin of ? of a length. Kingsmill Super, the favourite entry of the race ended the race in 28.85 seconds.
The two-year-old won for a fifth time in a row on 4th August, 2012 at Wimbledon over 480 metres by timing the track distance in 16.24 seconds. He led by a length and had Boxie qualifying as the runner-up.
Fawn Cloverhill is backed by 6 to 4 chances for claiming the race tonight.
