INDIANAPOLIS ? The latest chapter of Mark Herzlich?s feel-good story involves the Super Bowl, and he?s more than happy to be here.
Herzlich tweeted this message Monday after he and the Giants touched down at Indianapolis International Airport: ??2 yrs ago I was told I might never walk again. Just WALKED off plane in Indy to play in The #SuperBowl.?
The rookie linebacker, who survived his battle with cancer, played in 11 regular-season games, starting twice. He hasn?t seen the field since Week 12 because of injury and illness, but he sounds determined to end his first NFL season with some action against the Patriots.
