CHICAGO - His team desperate for a road win, Russell Wilson had one simple message before overtime.

This is it, this is the season.

If the Seattle Seahawks didn't save it, they sure gave their playoff hopes a boost.

Wilson threw two late touchdowns, connecting with Sidney Rice for a 13-yard score with 7:33 left in overtime to lift the Seahawks to a wild 23-17 victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

"He's just so beautifully poised and so confident that it gives himself a chance to play at this level," coach Pete Carroll said of Wilson.

Unbeaten in five home games, the Seahawks finally figured a way to win on the road after dropping five of their first six, and knocked off the NFC North leaders in the process.

"I just told the guys, `This is what the season comes down to, right here and right now,"' Wilson said.

A 97-yard touchdown drive late in regulation gave the Seahawks a lead that didn't last, and they finally won it on Rice's catch after Chicago's Robbie Gould sent it into overtime with a field goal.

Seattle (7-5) leads the NFC wild-card chase and, despite its frequent struggles on the road has won three in a row in the regular season at Soldier Field.

This one sure was dramatic.

Seattle took a short-lived lead late in regulation on rookie Wilson's 14-yard pass to Golden Tate, only to watch Gould boot a 46-yard field goal as time expired to send it into the extra period.

The Seahawks won the coin toss and started with the ball on their 20. They ended this one with one final flourish.

Rice hauled in a pass from Wilson and took a shoulder-to-helmet hit from Major Wright that jarred the ball loose and appeared to knock the receiver unconscious as he lunged into the end zone. Rice stayed down for several minutes but eventually walked off the field, and he insisted afterward he was alert the whole time.

"(Medical personnel) rushed out on the field because I had a couple of concussions before, so they just wanted to make sure everything was fine," he said.

The touchdown, meanwhile, was upheld after a review, and that gave the Seahawks their only road win other than a victory at Carolina.

"The ball didn't fall our way in some of the games this year," cornerback Richard Sherman said. "I don't think we are 1-5 road team. I don't think we've ever been out of the game at the end. I don't think there was ever a blowout, it always comes down to the last drive, the last play. The football gods were with us today and they helped us out."

The Seahawks pulled it out even though Marshawn Lynch was held in check with 87 yards rushing. He had a touchdown run in the second quarter, but also fumbled on the game's opening possession, leading to a score for Chicago.

Wilson threw for 293 yards, ran for 71 and was particularly cool down the stretch, sending Chicago (8-4) to its third loss in four games. That knocked them into a tie with Green Bay for the division lead with the Packers beating Minnesota, and coach Lovie Smith clearly was furious afterward.

"That hasn't happened to us very often around here," Smith said. "Terrible job I did getting our football team ready. I thought we were ready to go. Some decisions I made really hurt us early on."

He was particularly upset at himself for going for it on fourth-and-1 at the 15 early in the second quarter rather than have Gould attempt a field goal with Chicago up 7-0.

Along with that questionable decision, there were more injuries for a team that's endured its share of late.

Linebacker Brian Urlacher (hamstring) and cornerback Tim Jennings (shoulder) were hurt on the winning drive. Receiver Earl Bennett (concussion) and safety Chris Conte (illness) left earlier in the game. The Bears had already ruled out return specialist Devin Hester (concussion) and guard Chris Spencer (knee) after they were injured against Minnesota. Throw in the torn ACL guard Lance Louis suffered against the Vikings, and the Bears were a short-handed bunch.

Even so, they had their chances.

Jay Cutler threw for 233 yards and two touchdowns. Brandon Marshall added 165 yards receiving, but the Bears ultimately came up short.

"We don't lose many games like that here - as long as I've been here and having a lead that late in the fourth quarter," Cutler said.

They were leading 14-10 when punter Adam Podlesh pinned Seattle on the 3 with 3:40 remaining in regulation. Wilson orchestrated a dramatic drive, capping it with a 14-yard pass to Tate that gave the Seahawks a 17-14 lead with 24 seconds left in regulation.

The Bears weren't finished, though.

Cutler hit a leaping Marshall with the Seahawks' Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas on him for a 56-yarder that put the ball on the Seattle 30. Two plays later, Gould nailed a 46-yard field goal to send the game into overtime.

But with Wilson leading the way, the Seahawks pulled out the win.

Notes: The Bears are now 64-11 under Smith when they go into the fourth quarter with a lead. ... Seahawks G James Carpenter suffered a knee injury. Carroll said X-rays showed no breaks, but he was scheduled for a scan during the week. ... Seattle outgained Chicago 459 yards to 358.

Retailers' price war can save you big bucks

4 hrs.

This holiday season, the hottest trend among retailers isn't found on a store shelf. It's taking place at the cash register.

Major retailers, from Best Buy to Toys R Us, are promising to match their competitors' prices. Generally customers just need to bring in an advertisement or printout to prove that the same item is available elsewhere at a lower price. In some cases, shoppers can come back with a receipt and get a refund for the difference if the price of an item they bought fell.

Best Buy, Target, Walmart and Sears offer price matching to customers all year round. But what's different now is that Best Buy and Target are matching online retailers such as Amazon.com for the first time. That's a big deal, since online prices tend to be lower than those at stores.

Shoppers will be able to save some extra money, but they're going to have to read a lot of fine print to do so.

"Price matching sounds good, but there are so many exclusions, it sometimes isn't as good as it sounds," says Edgar Dworsky, the founder of ConsumerWorld.org, which tracks deals for shoppers.

For instance, Target limits the number of online retailers that it will price match against to just five. Best Buy has selected 20, but only matched online prices from Nov. 1 to Nov. 17 and will start again from Nov. 27 to Dec. 24.

Toys R Us is offering price matching for the first time and will only match prices that customers find in other brick-and-mortar stores. Walmart also matches against in-store prices. However, both retailers will match prices found on their own websites if the prices are lower than what you find in their stores. It's not uncommon for retailers to offer steeper discounts online than in their actual stores. (But Toys R Us says it won't match prices on its own website if the item is marked as an "online-only price.")

Even the most experienced bargain hunters can get tripped up by all the rules. But shoppers can save some money if they're diligent.

"It really is a way to save money and shop at the store you want instead of one that's inconvenient," says Dworsky.

Here are five ways to get the most out of price matching offers:

1. Know the policy
If you want to take advantage of a price match offer, read the store's policy closely. You can find the guidelines on the store's website.

Print out the policy and bring it with you. Having a hard copy will be helpful if you need to argue your case.

"Know their policy backwards or you may be bluffed into thinking something doesn't qualify," says Dworsky.

2. Bring proof
Always bring the advertisement or the printed web page for the item you want to price match. Walmart doesn't require bringing the ad because it says cashiers have access to all local advertisements. But Dworsky recommends bringing ads in anyway. If there's any confusion, you'll be better prepared to make your case no matter where you shop.

The cashiers and customer representatives are always looking for a reason not to approve the transaction, says Dworsky.

3. Save receipts
Some retailers will give you money back if you see a lower price after you buy an item. Keep a hold of your receipts and, particularly for big-ticket items, continue to look for lower prices.

Best Buy will issue refunds until the end of January. Toys R Us lets you seek a refund up to seven days after buying an item. Sears customers can get a refund after 14 days. Target is letting customer's price match against brick-and-mortar retailers until Dec. 24 for any item bought after Nov. 1. You can only ask Target to match the price of an online retailer until Dec. 16.

4. Go straight to the customer service desk
Many retailers have hired cashiers specifically for the holiday rush, so the new employees may not be up-to-speed on the store's price-matching policy. Heather Wheeler, who runs savings website TheKrazyCouponLady.com, recommends handling the transaction at the customer service desk instead on the cashier.

"(Those staffers are) trained a little more and are more knowledgeable," says Wheeler.

5. Look beyond retailers
You can also price match depending on how you pay. PayPal, the payment processer, promises to match a lower price if you've already made a purchase using the service. That includes airline tickets. PayPal will match the prices of retailers that don't let customers use PayPal, however. Just fill out a form and upload a receipt when you find a lower price. PayPal will give you back up to $1,000 for all purchases made until Dec. 31.

You should also ask your credit card company to see if it offers price matching. It's rare, but there are a few cards that do.

Citi just launched a program for its credit card holders. Called the Citi Price Rewind program, it promises to do the work for you. Register your purchases made on the Citi credit card online and it will send you a check for the difference if it finds a lower price from an online retailer.

The program is aimed at pricier purchases: It will only issue a discount if the price difference is $25 or more. Citi will give you the amount up to $250 for each item, and up to $1,000 a year. Of course, you're going to need pay your credit card bill in full and not incur interest charges to truly make this a deal.

Protests flare in Bahrain for Kim Kardashian visit

MANAMA, Bahrain (AP) ? Just hours after reality TV star Kim Kardashian gushed about her impressions of Bahrain, riot police fired tear gas to disperse more than 50 hardline Islamic protesters denouncing her presence in the Gulf kingdom.

The clashes took place just before Kardashian opened the Bahrain branch of her Millions of Milkshakes shop.

An Associated Press journalist saw protesters chanting "God is Great" near the shopping complex in Riffa, some 20 kilometers (12 miles) south of the capital Manama. The demonstrators were cleared before Kardashian appeared late Saturday.

Earlier, she posted glowing remarks about Bahrain on her Twitter account, calling it "the prettiest place on earth." It was re-Tweeted by Bahrain's foreign minister.

Kardashian was in Kuwait earlier this week to open another branch of the shop.

Malaga faces UEFA action over unpaid player wages

By GRAHAM DUNBAR

updated 11:39 a.m. ET Nov. 30, 2012

GENEVA (AP) -Champions League contender Malaga is facing UEFA sanctions for failing to pay millions of euros (dollars) of players' wages on time, and will likely have some prize money withheld.

UEFA said Friday that investigators from its Club Financial Control Body have referred Malaga and eight other clubs to the panel's judging chamber.

Malaga, which is owned by Qatari investor Sheik Abdullah Bin Nasser Al-Thani, has reportedly failed to pay players a combined ?9 million ($11.6 million).

Club officials declined official to comment to The Associated Press on Friday.

"The club has offered sufficient guarantees for us to be calm and we don't want to continue talking about financial questions," Malaga midfielder Sergio "Duda" Barbosa said Friday.

The Spanish club has qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League from a group including seven-time winner AC Milan and is due at least ?25 million ($32 million) in prize money, bonuses and a share of Spanish television revenues from UEFA.

UEFA said the judging panel will examine nine clubs which played in this season's Champions League and Europa League whose prize money has been frozen because of unpaid players' wages, transfer fees or social taxes.

Sixteen clubs have been cleared by UEFA - including defending Europa League champion Atletico Madrid, Sporting Lisbon and Fenerbahce - and will now receive their prize money.

Investigators "adjudged that the necessary financial requirements had been implemented" by a Sept. 30 deadline, UEFA said in a statement.

UEFA published a list of 23 clubs under investigation in September who owed a combined ?30 million ($38.4 million) in so-called "overdue payables."

Clubs must pay their football and tax debts as a condition of getting a license from their national association to play in UEFA competitions.

Malaga was the highest profile case and the only one of 32 group stage clubs in the Champions League implicated.

In its debut season in world football's most prestigious club competition, Malaga has excelled against Milan, Anderlecht and Zenit St. Petersburg while seeming in turmoil off the field.

The club spent ?120 million (then $158 million) on the team last year and then switched strategy in the offseason by selling top players, including Spain playmaker Santi Cazorla to Arsenal.

Malaga will be joined in the UEFA court, at an unspecified date, by eight Europa League entrants: Bucharest clubs Dinamo and Rapid, Serbian clubs Partizan and Vojvodina, Hajduk Split and Osijek of Croatia, plus Lech Poznan of Poland and Arsenal Kiev of Ukraine. The latter two have been added to the original list of 23 since September.

UEFA has enforced a licensing system for almost a decade, but the rules and potential sanctions have gained a higher profile in the "Financial Fair Play" era.

Since 2011, UEFA has been monitoring clubs' finances more closely and now requires them to aim toward breaking even on their football-related business as a condition of entry for the Champions League and Europa League.

The two competitions have attracted total commercial revenue of almost ?1.6 billion ($2.1 billion) for each season from 2012-15, with most shared among clubs playing in the group stages.

AMD FX-8350

AMD's FX-8350 is the latest desktop processor from AMD and the first eight-core CPU based on the company's "Piledriver" design. AMD is smarting after a weak global economy and strong demand for Intel products hit its profit margins and sales this past quarter, and the FX-8350 is meant to change that. The new AMD FX-8350 is a 4GHz CPU with a 4.2GHz Turbo clock. That's a bit more than 10% faster than AMD's previous top-end CPU, the AMD FX-8150 . The FX-8350 isn't just faster, it incorporates a number of design improvements to cut execution times in both single and multi-threaded environments.

It's also priced to move. Unlike the FX-8150, which debuted 12 months ago at $279, AMD has priced the FX-8350 at just $190. This positions the new CPU against Intel's Core i5-3550 , a quad-core CPU sans Hyper-Threading at 3.3GHz, with a Turbo speed of 3.7GHz.

Like the older AMD FX-8150, the FX-8350 is designed to share certain assets to reduce the CPU's size, manufacturing complexity, and production costs. While this has allowed AMD to pack more cores into the same space, it's also impacted the performance of each particular core. As a result, AMD and Intel CPUs are no longer strictly comparable on a core-to-core level. Intel CPUs have fewer cores, but the performance of each individual core tends to be higher.

The FX-8350 retains the same AM3+ socket that AMD launched last year with Bulldozer; any motherboard that supported the earlier FX processors will support the new chips as well, provided the manufacturer releases a BIOS update. The AM3+ platform supports up to DDR3-1866 and the FX-8350 CPU has an unlocked multiplier. That's an option that could appeal to enthusiasts who want to try their hand at squeezing more performance out of the CPU. Intel's first unlocked CPU, the Core i7-3570K , is $30 more expensive.

The FX-8350's increased clock speed and improved efficiency make it faster than the old FX-8150 across the board. The size of the increase depends on the test in question; in Cinebench 11.5's multi-threaded test, the FX-8350 turns in a score of 6.93 compared to the FX-8150's 6.01. Single-threaded performance is also up to 1.11 as opposed to the FX-8150's 1.03. In POV-RAY's rendering benchmark, the FX-8350 takes 49.5 seconds to complete the test, compared to 57 seconds for the FX-8150. Other tests show similar differences; the FX-8350 is roughly 10 percent faster than the CPU it replaces.

Against Intel's Core i5-3550, the news is more mixed. AMD's FX-8350's eight-core configuration made it significantly faster than the Intel Core i5-3550 in rendering tests; it took 275 seconds to render our test scene in Maxwell Render 2.5.0 as compared to the i5-3550's 357 seconds. It's also faster than the Intel i5-3550 in Cinebench; with a score of 6.93 compared to the i5-3550's 5.95. The AMD FX-8350 is a bit behind the Intel i5-3550 in general application work, with a PCMark 7 score of 4922 compared to the i5-3550's 5210, but the gap is small enough that you wouldn't likely notice.

Gaming performance, however, generally favors Intel. In The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, the Core i5-3550 managed an average 102 fps (frames per second), while the FX-8350 came in at 75 fps and the FX-8150 at 69 fps. Batman: Arkham City also showed the Intel Core i5-3550 well ahead of the AMD FX-8350, with a score of 85 fps compared with 72 fps, respectively. The one exception to the rule was Battlefield 3, which tends to stress graphics cards more than CPUs. Here, the Core i5-3550, AMD FX-8350, and FX-8150 essentially tied, at 86, 85, and 84 FPS respectively.

Power consumption is another area where Intel's Core i5-3550 is on stronger footing than AMD. At idle, the difference between the FX-8350 and Core i5-3550 isn't that large; the Intel chip draws 58W while the AMD CPU draws 74W. Under load, this changes?the Intel CPU tops out at 126W, while AMD's FX-8350 pulls 230W.

How much this matters depends on what sort of workloads are run and how active the CPU typically is. Computers tend to spend the majority of their time idling, where the small difference between the two chips would have virtually no impact on the power bill. For heavy workloads, however, Intel's Ivy Bridge is going to draw significantly less power over time.

The FX-8350 is a decent chip for users who want a midrange CPU for productivity tasks, or who know their software can take full advantage of the chip's eight cores. It's a better CPU than the FX-8150 it replaces, and AMD has done a good job of fixing some of the problems of last year's FX-8150. Its value proposition is improved if the end-user is planning to purchase or already owns a separate, discrete GPU?the integrated graphics processors in AMD's APUs and Intel's Ivy Bridge chips aren't power houses, but they're more than capable of handling basic gaming and other tasks.

Though interrelated in many ways in which, NLP and hypnosis are 2 terribly totally different concepts. Hypnosis is more of an art while NLP is additional of a science. NLP or otherwise known as Neuro-Linguistic Programming is a method used by many psychotherapists to change folks behavioral patterns. This approach has been widely adopted within the sector of psychology.
Although NLP has been widely adopted inside the medical field, its usages have also unfold to the industrial sectors especially among the scope of human resources training. Many coaching experts these days use NLP to bolster their coaching methodologies. This can be to improve the quality of their training during their coaching sessions, workshops and seminars. By doing so, the trainers have a higher success rate in affecting positive behavioral changes with their participants.
Hypnosis is additionally a suggests that that is used to influence the mind and therefore the behavior of an individual, but this process is very unconventional, however none the less popular. Hypnosis generally targets the person?s subconscious. In this someone is commanded to perform actions, in an exceedingly state of 0.5 sleep. In such a frame of mind, the mind is additional conducive to the obeying and accepting external demands from a 3rd party. Unless recently, it was typically regarded that hypnosis was like addressing psychic. But currently this perception has entirely changed. Now hypnosis is treated with utmost scientific approach, in line with the new study, we have a tendency to face hypnotic trance almost daily in our lives. You yourself must have experienced hypnosis whereas watching scenes in a very movie or television.
Several consultants have questioned whether these 2 ideas can be merged along and if the solution is yes what would be the impact and significances of such the merger.

Trails have shown that such a merger of ideas and techniques is potential and this has lead to higher control over the disseminations of both data and skills particularly inside the realm of human resources training. Nowadays many training seminars adopted such approaches to attain most impact during their training sessions. When we combine both approaches, we tend to truly are managing each the acutely aware and subconscious mind thus giving the trainers higher management over the whole coaching sessions. The results of these combos have thus way being positive.
Hypnosis in contrast to NLP, encourage an individual to act out in an exceedingly sure manner and made to recall recollections that are buried deep inside our mind. It acts more on the subconscious mind.
It is vital that when you are planning a workshop using these techniques to consider only hiring professional who are consultants during this area.
